Farm-To-Plate

By implementing a new system that involves professional examination of orphans, building improved food systems, sanitation training, updating employment practices of kitchen staff and more, we have permanently improved the quality of life for children.

Orphanage-To-Community

The orphanage food system projects we build provide a deep understanding of broader community nutrition factors as we transition our focus from orphanage to community.

Using applied research and innovations, we are building “geospatial nutrition profiles” that may improve the effectiveness and scale of community nutrition campaigns for extremely poor mountainous families.

Community-To-Country

Challenged by the 2050 Food Systems Vision Prize, GlobalRise joined tribal and community leaders to co-create a regenerative and nourishing Food System intended to drive a thriving ecosystem for mountainous poor; transforming nutrition, institutional capacity and women’s economic empowerment for generations to come.

Designing a technology-enabled food system for the Rwenzori Mountains will impact Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). As the system matures, we anticipate strengthened national linkages in areas of nutrition, agriculture, technology, education and culture.
